Our History: Established and incorporated in 1998, McElroy Plastics, Inc. was built from the ground up by Kevin McElroy, being hands-on owner/operator with 45 years of experience in all aspects of the Injection Molding Industry. We began production in March 1999 with just 4 machines, and today we have 20 injection molding machines ranging from 100 Ton to 2000 Ton (A list of equipment can be provided upon request). Our facilities include 38,000 square feet of manufacturing, 28,000 square feet of warehouse space, and 125,000 square feet of outside storage.
McElroy Plastics is proud family-oriented business; Kevin's wife Marnie, started hiring production workers from home before our offices were built, as we started getting our first customer orders in early 1999. Marnie is in charge of accounting and managing the office operations. Kevin's son, Casey, joined the company in 2004 and after 20 years of hard work and dedication is serving as Vice President and is in charge of Plant Operations. In 2011, Kevin recruited his sister, Chloe, to join the team. Chloe handles Inventory Management and Quality Control, Safety, as well as Customer Service. Kevin recruited Shara Roy, who started with us in August 1999. Shara is in charge of Coordinating Shipments, Order Entry, and Customer Service. Marnie recruited Rosa Vargas in 2022 to answer the calls coming in and do Order Entry.
Our Customers: When McElroy Plastics was being built, We wanted to offer services that no one else offered. One of the things that customers appreciate is "Total Honesty". This is where our Company Motto originated: "QUALITY, PRIDE, and TRUST". These 3 words, we use on a daily basis. We have an excellent working relationship with all our customers, just simply going by our motto.
Our largest customer is Orbis, which is a corporation of Menasha, with their headquarters in Oconomowoc, WI. Orbis has been a customer of McElroy Plastics since 2003. During that time period until now, we have shipped their products mostly here in Texas and the Southern States. We ship directly to their customers from Troup, TX. We have been one of their top Custom Molders in the USA. They have awarded McElroy Plastics with several Gallis Awards for Vendor of the Year and Vendor of the Month, for our dedication and hard work. Our relationship with Orbis will always be cherished.
Turner Company is a customer that has been with McElroy Plastics since 1999, and before that Turner was with the other company that was owned by Kevin, HEFCO. With a combined total of 40 years, Frank Turner has been a customer of Kevin's. We manufacture and ship Turner's product all the USA and Canada.
Boyt Harness Company, with headquarters in Osceola, IA, have been our customer since 2005. McElroy manufactures and assembles their product and ships it directly to them or their customers. Boyt has been a very unique company to manufacture for and has been an excellent partner to work with.
Quality Steel in Cleveland, MS, has been a customer since 2005. We manufacture their domes and lids for their underground propane tanks. We also have a very good relationship with this company as well. Business View magazine did a feature on their company as being a quality supplier to the propane tank industry. Quality Steel shared, and allowed us to put an article on McElroy Plastics in the same issue of Business View, as being one of their top 3 suppliers.
Employees: McElroy Plastics has 45 employees we have 3 shifts and run 24 hours, 5-7 days a week depending on the orders we have in house. We provide Health Insurance, a host of Holiday Pay, Paid Vacation, and above average pay for our type of business. Most of the 45 people that work here have been employed for 10 years or more. We have a well trained group of people and require little or no supervision.
Vendors: Our vendors are our lifeline and we enjoy working with all them. Most of them, Kevin has bought plastics from for many years. We take care of our suppliers just like we take care of our employees. We pay their invoices on time, mostly before they are due. We have an outstanding relationship with all vendors we buy from.
